My One-and-Only started experiencing the first symptoms of “man flu” and decided that means he is dying. Yes, tickle in a throat equals dying. This means that for next week or so, I’ll be on a verge of killing or leaving the love of my life. Honestly, it can go either way and I am sure that no judge will find me guilty. Continue Reading
Creating beautifully decorated home is not hard when you have enough money to finance all your wishes, but what if that isn’t the case? Honestly, I like living in a beautiful home and enjoy to decorate it, but this is only a rental and I don’t want to invest too much money in it. No matter how nice would it be to live in the place decorated to my liking, I still don’t like the idea of throwing money away on something I can’t keep or can’t enjoy more than couple of months.Continue Reading
Couple of weeks ago I had my birthday and I got a lot of amazing presents and one of them was amazing book called The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George . Since I am a bookaholic, most of my friends are too afraid to buy me books because there is a big chance that I have already read it. In this case I was so happy she was courageous enough to try to find me a book for my birthday. Not only that I have not read that book, but I have wanted to buy it for a long time, but never had an opportunity.
From an early age, young boys and girls are taught that they are not meant to do every job or task they want to and that there are ones that should be left to the other gender. Although over the years significant progress has been achieved in this area and gender equality seems closer than ever, some things do not change. Continue Reading
It is hard to show off your green thumb when you don’t have enough space. Or how to show that you don’t have a green thumb, like me. Everything I try to plant decides that it doesn’t want to grow. I even managed to kill a cactus. According to the expert, and by that I mean my mom, I over-watered it.
One of the great things about the apartment we rented was spacious rooftop terrace. It did not look like anything special, but the landlord promised to transform it into a true oasis. We have not yet seen any changes on the terrace, but I am still hopeful. I’ve been dreaming about it since the moment we have moved in. My Pinterest board is full of ideas that would look amazing, once my landlord decides to do something. Until then, maybe my research will be useful for you. Check out my amazing ideas.Continue Reading
My One-and-Only and I love exploring our new city when we have some free time. There is so much to explore and nothing will stop us in our exploring trips, not even the rain. You know what they say, after rain comes sun. But I have to admit that I definitely like it more when the days are sunny because then we make this a whole day adventure. One of our latest adventure trips was to Howth, small fishing village and suburb of Dublin.
It took me a lot of time to get used to a place we are renting. After spending more than 20 years in my parents house, and then creating a home for my husband and me in a rental back home in Croatia, it was hard to move again and create yet another home. At the beginning this was just a flat we were staying at, and not our home because it didn’t have any personal touch. Now after couple of months of sprucing up, I can honestly say that I am starting to consider it a home.Continue Reading
On the end of each year we start thinking about changes we are going to make in the next year. We all have some things we like to change in our lives, and most of the time we wait for the next week, next month, next year or even the next millennium to make them. How many times have you decided that it is time to make some changes in your life, but from next Monday?
Throughout my whole extremely long twenty-six year old life, I have always found comfort in writing. No matter how hard my life has become, I have always managed to escape in my world of written word. Sometimes my sanctuary were books I was reading, and sometimes endless sheets of paper I have written, but I always had somewhere to retreat when things get tough.
